President of the Dominica Nurses Association (DNA) and Executive member of the DPSU, Rosie Felix, has responded to recent statements made by Minister of Health, Kenneth Darroux, where the minister sent a very strong warning to nurses and health officials around the island. Darroux made these comments while addressing a gathering in Laplaine, on Wednesday. Minister of Health in Dominica, Dr. Kenneth Darroux. In response, Rosie Felix described the minister’s statements as a little insensitive, and went on to list some the factors causing health officials to lose confidence in the leaders responsible for managing the health care system, while complimenting the ministry on certain initiatives Rosie continued further: Meantime, Felix says the Government’s praise to the public officers were high, post hurricane Maria, adding that the praises seemed mediocre, as many Public Officers who were trying to tend to their family, were penalized by authorities.
