Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit suggests to Caribbean leaders not to wait until after a disaster strikes to put measures in place to combat the effects of climate change
Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit is calling on countries in the region to not be like Dominica, and wait until after a major natural disaster, to put measures in place to combat against the effects of climate change.
He was giving an update on the Climate Executing Agency of Dominica (CREAD) at a special meeting held in St Thomas organized by the Clinton Global Initiative Action Network, Post Disaster Recovery for the Caribbean.
CREAD was established following the passage of Hurricane Maria in 2017.
