REZDEM Project Manager Simon Walsh says Soufriere Primary School Pupils will return to a new & resilient building in their next school year with a concrete roof & solar panels
Pupils of the Soufriere primary school are to return to a new and resilient building in their next school year. The reconstruction and rehabilitation of the School is a project financed and supervised by REZDEM, the Resilience Program of the Daniel Langlois Foundation.
To date the organization has taken on a number of projects to improve resilience in the area.
REZDEM Project Manager Simon Walsh says the primary school is now receiving finishing touches, that it is a truly resilient building and he is proud of the work that is being done. He says the roof is made of concrete, so as to ensure the safety and stability of the existing structure.
He added that there will be solar panels installed to provide economic benefits for the school.
