Roseau Central MP says UWP has a legal obligation to expose wrong doings in Government operations3/13/2017 MP for Roseau Central Joseph Isaac says as a Parliamentarian, the opposition has a legal obligation, to point out things which are wrong, within the operations of the sitting Government. Isaac was speaking in relation to revelations of arrests of some DLP Government’s Diplomatic Appointees with Diplomatic passports, who may also have been in possession of regular Dominican Passports, some of whom are now in police custody overseas awaiting trial. The UWP and DFP voiced concerns over the embarrassments this has brought upon Dominica, in the international community. Isaac says the Dominica Labour Party is now attempting to persuade Dominicans, into believing that it is the opposition parties that are tarnishing the country’s name, when it is the DLP administration and its Leader who have done so. Meanwhile, Isaac is challenging the DLP Government to sue news agencies and bloggers, for false reports on its CBI Program. Isaac is reiterating his promise to support the Government, in the event that it decides to sue overseas news agencies, whenever they publish false reports on the DLP’s CBI Program.
However, some of the evidence appears to indicate that that regional and international reports on Dominica’s CBI Program, and the mismanagement of Dominica’s economy, are factual, and are raising questions about the credibility of those who form the Government.
