Several Religious Leaders are ready for Natural Disasters after training in Psychological and Mental Health First Aid
A number of religious leaders have been trained in psychological and mental health first aid.
Dave Laudat who is a public health specialist and social worker at the acute psychiatric unit says, this training came into being in the post Hurricane Erica era.
He stated that after that disaster, numerous training seasons took place, and this time around, the training is with religious leaders, as there have already been many training seasons with different people in in several sectors in the past.
He says that he believes that this training will make a serious difference in the approach to first responders when the time arises.
