Social Activist Atherton Martin believes Dominica’s current leaders are the architects of the collapse of the country’s economy and society. He says, “It is a tragedy when the leaders of our society, who are supposed to be the Architects of its Progress, turn out to be the Architects of its Collapse.” Martin is an Agronomist and Humanitarian Activist, and he is also a former Agricultural Minister. He made these statements on the program, ‘Governance and the Economy’, which he hosts on Q95fm Radio. Martin was speaking on the subject of ‘Social Progress’ as it relates to Dominica’s present disposition and future expectations. He argues that the future is the youth, and they play a pivotal role in the country’s trajectory, so they should be allowed to create new paths. He contends that the younger generation is seeing what is going on, and they are clearly not excited about it. Agronomist, Humanitarian Activist and Former Agriculture Minister Atherton Martin
