Sports Division announces start of 2018 MU Insurance Secondary Schools U-20 Cricket Championship

​The Sports Division has announced the commencement of the 2018 Massy United Insurance Secondary Schools Under-20 Cricket Championship. This year’s championship is the forth event to be staged by the Sports Division since the destruction suffered by Dominica from Hurricane Maria; and once more has been supported with sponsorship by Massy United Insurance.
 
The Sports Division welcomes the support at Massy United Insurance and is grateful for their commitment shown towards cricket development on the island. The 2018 Championship saw participants from nine teams/schools and will be played in two zones.
 
The Championship will officially commence on Friday, February 2, 2018 with a Ball-O-Rama among the participating teams at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium; prior to the action on the pitch, the teams gathered were met by Sports Minister Justina Charles, a representative of Massy United Insurance, and the Sports Coordinator, at 9:30am.
 
Matches during the league format were played at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium, Benjamin Park, Jolly John Park, Castle Bruce Playing Field and the Botanic Gardens
