The official session will feature prominent national figures, including Her Excellency Mrs. Sylvanie Burton, President of the Commonwealth of Dominica and Chief Guide, alongside the Mayor of Roseau, Lucy Belle-Matthew. Attendees can expect a comprehensive agenda consisting of cultural performances by various units, a featured address by speaker Brendalyn Bazil, and remarks from the Minister for Culture, Youth, and Community Development, the Honorable Gretta Roberts. A central highlight of the event will be the presentation of the Chief Commissioner’s Report by Ms. W. Valencia Webb, who characterized the past year as a period marked by growth, achievement, and renewed enthusiasm. The report notes a significant surge in island-wide membership among girls and young women, who actively engaged in leadership programs, environmental initiatives, educational workshops, and community outreach. Webb attributed these successes directly to the unwavering dedication of leaders, volunteers, and parents who have expanded unit capacities and invested heavily in training. Following the opening ceremonies, the association will transition into a closed business session to adopt institutional agendas, confirm meeting minutes, and hold crucial elections for key leadership roles.
