Two-time Olympian Footballer, Bronze medallist Karina LeBlanc, will be coming back on a vacation accompanied by her husband on his first visit, and will share at least two days with her favoured homeland, to give some Hope to Dominicans. During the week of March 12, 2018, Karina and her husband Jason Mathot, a retired professional footballer who has worked with many Hollywood actors, will work together with her, to do charity football activities.
During her visit, Karina will be announcing the amount raised so far, which she fundraised under the UNICEF Canada umbrella, for the children of Dominica. She will also visit some of the UNICEF sponsored projects. Karina is also voluntarily bringing 400 boxes of brand new sportswear for athletes and teams, donated by the Canadian Soccer Association. She will meet with the President of the Olympic Association, Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture, the Chief Education Officer, President and Officials of the Dominica Football Association, to plan a joint training session for National Teams and for the community. At the community based activity she will talk with the youth of Roseau. As a Motivational Speaker in North America, she will visit at least three Secondary Schools in Roseau; Dominica Grammar School, Convent High School and the Wesley High School.
