Leader of the parliamentary Opposition Lennox Linton speaking at a special town hall meeting in Canada over the weekend told the audience, that persons on the UWP team are standing for a righteous and moral cause to serve their country, and not for the monetary gain. He aid that in these present times, we have seen cases where persons are only serving for money, and referenced allegations that the Dominica Labor Party may be giving money to candidates to run on a DLP ticket. Linton says the UWP has a slate of candidates that are standing for just and righteous change. The team leader also said that we are blessed to be Dominicans, and our national anthem echoes those exact sentiments. Meantime, Linton says what has happened in the last 19 years under the DLP administration has been a total and absolute disgrace. He says what has happened is one set of people has been using government for their own personal benefit, rather than using the resource of the country for the advancement of the entire nation.
