Q95 news can confirm that UWP Soufriere candidate & Trauma Surgeon, Dr. Samuel Christian, fell victim to a freak accident on Sunday in Point Michel, and was flown out to Martinique by Helicopter at about 6:45pm, for urgent medical treatment. According to reports, Dr. Christian received a broken pelvis, among other injuries. Report by veteran Q95 journalist, Matt Peltier Meantime, US based Trauma Surgeon Dr Dale Dangleben, extended some advice to the trauma team at the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH), on Sunday morning, with reference to the treatment given to Dr. Samuel Christian who experienced a freak accident on Saturday afternoon, at about 2pm. Meanwhile, the Christian family has released the following statement on Dr Sam Christian’s incident. Dear Friends, As has been reported, general surgeon Dr. Samuel J. Christian, was seriously injured in a motor vehicle accident on December 1, 2018. It is reported that the SUV he was operating rolled over him shortly after he tried to exit or enter the vehicle. His injuries are grave, and efforts are underway to secure the necessary medical care for him on the French Department of Martinique. In this moment of grave concern over the life of Dr Sam Christian, his mother Mrs. Alberta Christian, the Christian family and friends wish to thank the Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit, the Leader of the Opposition Lennox Linton, Sam’s attorney Joshua Francis, Cecil Joseph, Adenauer “Washway” Douglas, Matt Peltier, Alicia & Trudy Christian, Pearl Christian, Dr Hazel Shillingford-Ricketts, Dr Dale Dangleben, Dr Irving Pascal, the attending physicians and staff of the Princess Margaret Hospital, alongside ordinary citizens at home and abroad who have rallied with humanitarian fervor in this moment.
