Wesley MP Ezekiel Bazil throws cold water on Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit’s abrupt announcement, that college students are no longer required to pay tuition fees at the Dominica state College, as long as they are engaged in community work, coming on the heels of Opposition Leader Lennox Linton’s commitment made on 21st February 2019, that a UWP government will do just that. Bazil says this position on assistance to college students was announced by the executive of the United Workers Party as early as 2009, and most recently on 21st February 2019 at a press conference at the Prevo Cinemall, long before the announcement of PM Skerrit. Bazil expressed concern as regards the value of the community work, compared to the waver of College tuition fees, and questioned how the community work undertaken by the students would be monitored. Wesley MP, Ezekiel Bazil, he spoke to Q95 FM on Tuesday.
