WINAIR cancels services for today Tuesday & Wednesday due to Hurricane Irma, hope to resume Thursday9/5/2017 WINAIR has cancelled all of its services for this Tuesday & Wednesday (5th & 6th September), due to the imminent passing of Hurricane Irma, and hopes to resume on Thursday 7th September, depending on the conditions existing after the passage of Irma.
With the unpredictability of Hurricane Irma, Winair says it will relocate its Twin Otter Aircraft to a more secure and safe area in the Southern Caribbean. Affected passengers are presently being contacted for re-accommodation by Winair reservations department. Winair Storm policy is in effect, and customers will be rebooked at no additional costs. Winair asks passengers to visit their website www.fly-winair.sx and follow their Facebook page /flywinair for regular updates. Winair would has sincerely apologized for the inconvenience, and is requesting the understanding of the public, that these weather conditions are beyond their control. Winair stated further, ‘Our operational restart of the Twin Otter flights to destinations Saba, St Eustatius, St Barth, Canefield – Dominica, Antigua, Tortola, St Kitts & Nevis, in addition to our flights to Douglas-Charles – Dominica, Guadeloupe, San Juan, Curacao and Haiti, will resume once it is safe to do so’. Winair is urging people in affected areas to take precautionary measures to prepare themselves, their family and their home; and to stay safe!
