2 students benefit from DOWASCO philanthropy by way of scholarships to attend secondary school8/9/2016 Two students will benefit from DOWASCO’s philanthropy once more as they receive scholarships to attend secondary school.
The scholarship worth approximately seven hundred and Fifty dollars annually; is awarded to students who attained passes in the grade six national assessments for a period of five years and is based on both merit and need. This year’s recipients are Al Bruno of Roseau Primary, a resident at the Chances institution and Jayden Austrie of Grand Fond, the son of an employee. DOWASCO resumed its scholarship programme two years ago in efforts to enable the child of on customer and that of an employee to attend secondary school. The scholarship will cover the cost of text books, stationary, school and lab fees as well as the cost of CXC examination fees.
