A nationwide clean-up campaign which began last week Thursday and continued into the weekend generated some 800 tonnes of waste as of Sunday.
That’s according to Minister for Health & the Environment Dr Kenneth Darroux.
Dominica embarked on a massive clean-up geared at eliminating the breeding sites of the Aedes Aegypti mosquito in light of the Zika virus which has been sweeping the region.
And Dr Darroux described the campaign as a success during his thank you address to the nation.
