Acting Prime Minister Dr Colin McIntyre has praised the contribution of the PetroCaribe agreement to Dominica.
McIntyre says that agreement made a significant difference to the country's citizens.
The PetroCaribe Energy Cooperation agreement was signed on 29th June 2005 by Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit and deceased Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, with a view to transacting in petroleum products on preferential payment conditions, to promote economic cooperation.
Dr McIntyre says PM Skerrit took a bold step in signing the agreement, when other governments were shying away from it.
