Alternative Peoples Party Interim President Tahira Blanchard says the party embraces the notion of coalition and putting people first and is therefore open to everyone seeking to see a better Dominica

​The Alternative Peoples Party says it embraces the notion of coalition and people first, and it is therefore open to all members of society who are seeking to see a better Dominica, said Interim President Tahira Blanchard at the party's 1-year Anniversary.
 
The party was formed on January 12, 2020 with a Founders’ Conference, and the official website was established on May 11 of that same year. The party’s major objective is to build a coalition which will chart the course to greater progress in opposition politics. The team brings a different, and more inclusive approach to politics.

​Ms Blanchard says there are many more names of executive members to be revealed at their first ever delegates conference.

​Blanchard says they have been on the ground from day one, and the people will be seeing a lot more of the members of the party.
