Attorney, Anthony Astaphan, is continuing to defend the DLP Government Citizenship By Investment (CBI) Program.The CBI Program has come under much criticism from Opposition forces in recent times. However, the DLP Governments this is its primary source of revenue at present.
Astaphan speaking on a local radio program Friday, says it was under the UWP Administration that the clause obligating applicants of the program to become residents of Dominica was abolished.
The UWP has continuously questioned the due diligence exercised by the DLP Administration, when granting economic citizenship, but Astaphan says as a result of this clause being abolished, the DLP has retained four due diligent agents to conduct due diligence on applicants.
