Senior counsel Anthony Astaphan says he now anticipates that LIAT will put forward a favourable solution to the problem of infrequent flights in and out Dominica, and in particular, the absence of southbound flights from Dominica. Following the resignation of LIAT CEO David Evans, Astaphan in an interview with Antiguan media stated that Prime Minister Skerrit’s appeal to the LIAT airline to increase flights to Dominica went unheeded, until the CEO’s departure. Astaphan says after investing heavily in LIAT unlike other Caribbean islands, Dominica deserves at least adequate air access.
