Attorney at Law Tiyani Behanzin responds to the Dominica Labor Party Representative for Wesley saying, he is out of touch and plays no part in the decisions taking place in Wesley in relation to the airport
Attorney at Law Tiyani Behanzin responds to the Labor Party Representative for Wesley Minister Fidel Grant saying he is out of touch, and plays no part in the decisions taking place in Wesley in relation to the proposed airport. Speaking via telephone interview on Q95’s Hot Seat program hosted by Matt Peltier, Behanzin cleared the air on the realities of what transpired at a Public Awareness Meeting on the implications of the proposed International Airport at Wesley.
Minister Fidel Grant had released public statement which sought to paint an image in the minds of persons in Wesley that the meeting was just a bunch of opposition UWP supporters who were not from the area but were speaking on matters they knew nothing about. However, Behanzin highlighted the fact that the minister himself is not from the area in question, and on that same premise, his words carry no weight.
He then highlighted the issues relating to the Land Acquisition Act and the processes by which things are done, and revealed that the DLP government is acquiring property against that very process.
Mr. Behanzin then says the Minister is the one who is out of touch and has no answers to all the important questions on the airport itself.
