Attorney Gildon Richards is appealing to the religious leaders of Dominica to speak up on behalf of Former DPP Mr. Gene Pestaina, so that he will be granted his gratuity and pension, which is due to him from the government.
Mr. Pestaina is currently ailing and is barely able to pay for his medical expenses. Gene Pestaina became a Police Officer in 1969, and gave 38 years and 3 months of service to Dominica in law enforcement. He also served from 2007 to 2013 as Dominica’s Director of Public Prosecution.
Mr. Richards respectfully wants the religious leaders of Dominica to raise their voice in unison, to educate the public on the issue surrounding Mr. Pestaina and his family, so that those in authority who are allegedly withholding the former DPP’s pension, are made to grant Mr. Pestaina what is rightfully due to him.
