After a 6-month waiting period, the Bense Primary School has finally seen the installation of a literacy room. They celebrated the opening of a newly constructed literacy room over the weekend.
The literacy room was a project undertaken by the staff of the school, Peace corp. volunteer Megan Ray and the community members to provide the students and the school community with a strong focus on literacy and personal development skills through the implementation of numerous literacy based activities.
The grant for the literacy room was funded by the Peace Corp small project assistance program through USAID.
