Bishop of the Diocese of Roseau Gabriel Malzaire is urging all Catholics and Christians, to take the Lenten season seriously, claiming that the young people of this decade must be guided to control their urge to fete during this season.
Bishop Malzaire is also calling on radio personalities and organizers to refrain from encouraging reveling during those 6 weeks. This season begins on 26th February and ends on 9th April 2020. Lent is a solemn religious observance in the Christian liturgical calendar which begins on Ash Wednesday and ends about six weeks later, before Easter Sunday.
