Attorney Cabral Douglas who launched a US$3 Million lawsuit against the Government of Dominica over the Tommy Lee Affair, has now followed up by retaining one of England's top barristers, Dr Leslie Thomas.
He will lead the litigation phase of the case, which is due to commence at the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ), in Trinidad & Tobago.
Douglas says he is extremely fortunate to have Thomas on board, to lead the litigation phase of the matter.
Dr Thomas was awarded an honorary doctorate from Kingston University for his civil rights work, among other prestigious awards, for his legal advocacy. He has been a member of Garden Court Chambers in London for most of his professional career, spanning over a 25-year period of the English bar.
Douglas says the Government of Dominica has responded to the lawsuit filed against it.
