In addition to funding from the CBI Program, the Montreal Management Consultants Est. (MMCE) has guaranteed US $5 million to kick-start the resettelement project scheduled to commence July 1.
The Government on Thursday signed a contract with MMCE for the resettlement of Petite Savanne residents displaced following the passage of TS Erika last August. Planning, Economic Development and Investment Minister, Dr. John Colin McIntyre, says in order to launch the program sooner, the MMCE decided to put in an additional US $5 million as the CBI Program continues to generate funds for this project. The minister regards this as an ideal situation to continue the country’s development through the CBI Program as was intended.
