A new Executive Director for the Dominica Festivals Committee has reportedly been appointed effective Tuesday May 17.
Claudine Springer of St Lucia is said to have been appointed to that position. Tourism Minister Robert Tonge says that over 30 applications were received whereby a recruitment process was followed and Springer was selected as the best candidate the job. The DFC has been without an Executive Director since the departure of Natalie Clarke in 2014. Springer declined to comment at the time of contact since she says there were still a few details to be smoothed out. Q95news will follow up on that story.
