Commonwealth Day is being celebrated today March 14th 2016, in Dominica, under the theme “an inclusive commonwealth”. Attorney at Law & Chairman of the local branch of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, Alix Boyd-Knights expressed delight about the ceremony which was held earlier this morning at the Arawak house of culture.
Ms Boyd-Knights added that for a number of reasons, the youth parliament may not be held this year, however this is something that is normally done annually, but may change during the course of 2016.
She also made mention of a few guests who will be participating in the activities, including the members of parliament and the President of Dominica his Excellency Charles Savarin, and students from various schools.
