Contractors must get a chance at project contracts & job opportunities that are available in their own Country, says Stewart Paris, Vice President of the Builders & Contractors Association of Dominica (BCAD)
Dominican contractors should be given a fair chance at the job opportunities available within their own lands says BCAD’s vice president Stewart Paris.
Paris was speaking on the topic of the Dominican capacity within the competitive work field not being to be fairly engaged, simply because they are not given the opportunity to compete.
He says that it is not a matter of being given a job, but rather simply being given a fair chance to bid for a job.
He says the situation should be, where a foreigner has to come in to help Dominicans do what we cannot, then they should be teaching other Dominicans how to do it, and transfer knowledge to help build capacity.
