Covid19 has changed everyone’s financial situation, and unless we put pen to paper and do proper budgeting, we will always be in the same situation says Brenton Hilaire, Sagicor Life Dominica Agency Manager
Covid19 has changed everyone’s financial situation, and unless we put pen to paper and do proper budgeting, we will always be in the same situation. That’s according to Brenton Hilaire, Agency Manager of Sagicor Life, Commonwealth of Dominica speaking to Q95FM on the occasion of financial Awareness Month 2020.
Every year, since 2002, the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank as well as the governments of the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union, have observed the month of October as Financial Information Month. The Month forms part of an ECCU financial and economic education programme coordinated by the ECCB. The programme incorporates a series of initiatives designed to support the attainment of the goal of “a financially developed and vibrant ECCU region that fosters strong and sustainable economic growth and the improved well-being of the citizenry.”
The tagline for Financial Information Month is “Financial Empowerment Through Education”. The theme this year for FIM is: Building Financial Resilience in a Covid-19 Environment.
