Crime Stoppers Dominica has reported a significant increase in calls for the year 2016.
According to the Executive Director of Crime Stoppers Dominica, Diana Pascal, the non-profit organization has seen enhanced public response, whereby a total of 60 anonymous reports have been received by the Canadian based call centre, compared to 39 reports last year.
She says the calls received have led to arrests, whereas other matters have been addressed through timeless police intervention.
Meantime, Pascal says the organization will seek to fulfil several objectives in the new year.
She says along with the school and community outreach programs; the organization intends to increase its fund raising efforts.
