Curtis ‘Shakes’ Richards, of Newtown has pleaded guilty to possession of firearms without a valid license. He appeared in court today Thursday 25th February 2016. He was asked to pay $20,000 before the end the day, or face six months in prison.
Richards was among three people arrested after five guns were found on his premises during a police raid on 23rd February 2016. The other two suspects were released due to lack of evidence against them.
According to court reports, during the raid, two Glock pistols, two 9-mm pistols and one .38 automatic pistol were found. The $20,000 fine imposed on Thursday was for one Glock and the .38 pistol.
