Custom officials being urged to take advantage of training program aimed at enhancing the trading environment & export capacity
Custom officials are being urged to take advantage of the training program being offered to them as part of Government's ongoing efforts to enhance the trading environment and export capacity.
The training program which got underway Monday, will be done in two sessions over a 16 day period, with grant funded secured from the CDB.
The program will cover training in areas including rules of origin, classification of goods and customs valuation.
Dominica's Director of Trade is Matthan Walter.
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Trade, Sylvanie Burton, says the training is as a result of the need to build capacity among custom officials.
