DAPD mobilizing to raise $70, 000 to buy prosthetic legs to help double amputee walk again after 16 years
The Dominica Association of Persons Living with Disabilities (DAPD) visited Q95 Studios today, for a radiothon, to raise funds to buy prosthetic legs for a young man, a double amputee, to help him realize his dream of walking again, after 16 years.
The young man in question is Deon Green who is a double amputee and as a result has to travel to France to get proper assistance. An amount of $18000 Euro is needed to ensure that Mr. Green receives adequate care and treatment. Executive Director of the Dominica Association of Persons with Disabilities (D.A.P.D) Nathalie Murphy encouraged the Dominican public in supporting the Associations initiative.
