DASPA to undertake project geared at preventing future flooding events at the Douglas Charles Airport
Flooding at the island's main airport in recent times, has caused serious problems for officials of the facility.
Chief Executive Officer of the Dominica Air &Sea Ports Authority, Benoit Bardouille, says his department is currently in the process of preparing to undertake a project of dredging the river among other things in a bid to curtail this problem.
Bardouille says once vigorously pursued with no hiccups, the project should be completed before June 2016. The Project if completed before the next hurricane season will ensure that flooding does not occur at the Douglas Charles Airport.
