Dominica Association of Teachers President, Celia Nicholas, urges young girls who are victims of abuse, to not be afraid to consult someone. Nicholas, was one of three exceptional women who were recognized for their contribution to national development on International Women's Day yesterday Tuesday. Her statement comes at a time when three prominent adult males are facing charges of alleged inappropriate behaviour with a minor. The two other women who were recognized are Manager of Healthy Lifestyles and Corporate Wellness Services, Nurse Priscilla Prevost, and Former Coordinator of the National HIV/AIDS Response Unit, Nurse Julie Frampton.
They were honoured at a special ceremony held at the Digicel Flagship Store in Roseau as part of International Women’s Day on Tuesday.
