Dominica Council on Ageing (DCOA) says it is deeply disturbed by the recent reports, confirming that a 93-year-old, partially blind woman, was assaulted at her home in Fond St. Jean last weekend, and has been hospitalized. The DCOA board finds it shocking that it is the second assault on a senior citizen in Dominica within two months.
President of the DCOA, Zetma Toussaint, says she condemns these acts of abuse, and is encouraging all Dominicans to develop that same attitude, and promote more morality. Toussaint said “This is very sad for us. The Dominica Council on Ageing again strongly condemns the assault on this 93-year-old woman of Fond St Jean, which occurred recently”
