DCSI Chairman Steven Astaphan says a letter to Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit was made public after numerous pleas to make the procurement act more efficient went unheeded.
PM Skerrit on Tuesday said, he would not respond to the letter, as he believes the matter was handled in an unprofessional manner. However, Astaphan says the Builders & Contractors Association wrote to the Prime Minister’s office on numerous occasions, but only succeeded in meeting with the Finance minister three weeks ago.
