Dominica Eco-Tourism Association to facilitate dialogue between Farming, Tourism & Conservation6/3/2016 The Dominica Eco-Tourism Organization (D-ECO) is facilitating the start of a dialogue between the three important sub-sectors; Farming, Tourism and Conservation, in an initiative timed to coincide with World Environment Day, carded for June 5.
While tourism and conservation have managed to combine to some extent, the relationship with farming has yet to be fully developed. According to a press release D-ECO is strongly of the view that collaboration is overdue; especially post Erika, as we try to rebuild Dominica better. That will assist in diversifying income sources for the country’s farming community. The discussion with influential persons in the three sectors, will seek the Resolution of any known conflicts between the sub-sectors, obtaining resources from government, local stakeholders and visitors as well as among other topics.
