Dominica host Ozone Zone International Photo Competition twice lack entries from local photographers
Dominica has hosted the Ozone Zone International Photo Competition for the second time, making it the centre of attention for international photography events.
This year, a jury of local and foreign artists/photographers selected the winners from over 2000 photographs submitted from every corner of the planet, but lamented the lack of local photographers participating in the event.
Sandra Garip from the Dominican Republic won Best Caribbean Author award, while Grand Prix went to Leonid Goldin from Israel.
Ozone Zone International Photo competition's chairperson Margaret Gajek, hopes to see Dominica as a destination for photographers of the world, expanding tourism and engaging many fine local photographers in workshops, tours and other photographic events.
