Dominica is a lower middle income country and not considered poor says Ambassador Dr. Vince Henderson
Dominica's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Dr. Vince Henderson, says contrary to what some may think, statistics reveal that Dominica is a lower middle income country, making it above what is considered to be poor.
As such, he says it should come as no surprise that Dominica did not appear on the list of the 25 poorest countries of the world.
Speaking on a local radio program, Ambassador Henderson refuted statements made by the opposition UWP claiming that Dominica is one of the world’s poorest countries.
He says the opposition is known to decry their homeland and introducing a negative view of its Government, often going as far as to insult their countrymen.
