Dominica Police Force receives tablet computers donated by four Insurance Companies in Dominica4/1/2016 As part of a new initiative, each traffic officer will now be equipped with tablets donated to the Dominica Police Force by four Insurance Companies in Dominica.
This as the Information and Communication Technology Unit (ICTU) in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice, Immigration and National Security, earlier today formally launched the Drivers & Automobile Information System (DAIS) and the Financial Intelligence Unit Suspicion Transaction Report (STRs) application, or “Dominica-FSU e-Filing System (DEFS). Chief personnel officer Mrs. Gloria Joseph thanked the companies for their support, and stated that the applications will be downloaded onto the tablets, to implement this Information system, that will allow traffic officers to perform random checks on vehicles.
