Speaking on the DSPU program on Q95 on Wednesday evening, President of the Dominica Public Service Union, Steve Joseph says the necessity is significant especially at this time where the country is presented with many issues and challenges that affect do not only DPSU members, but also citizens and families. Joseph called on the unions to be united on some of these issues which should naturally be promoters of unity and solidarity. He praised the newly established unions in Dominica and said just the thought of coming together is encouragement, and many unions have been operating in a silo position although there is a genesis making an efforts especially in the 70s to work collaborated. Joseph said they also saw an effort to come back to the table one week before May Day 2022 and commended the unions who came to the call in April.
