Dominica is set to benefit from two projects being implemented by the Caricom Secretariat in an effort to improve customs and trade for Caricom Single Market & Economy member states.
This was revealed by the Senior Project Officer for Customs and trade policies at the Caricom Secretariat, Bernard Black.
The first project aims to synchronize the customs law and procedures of each state, and Black says there is an urgent need to have harmonized customs laws and regulations among CSME states.
The second project is a review of custom tariffs and rules of origin.
