An appeal is being made to Dominicans particularly those living here to embrace and protect the World Creole Music Festival. The festival which is in its 19th year, will be held from October 28-30 2016. Marketing Executive, Wadico Charles, says it is anticipated that this year's edition will generate much more revenue and attract much more visitors to the island. "We must remember that this festival belongs to us" said Charles. Meanwhile, he says the Commission has taken on a different twist to its marketing approach. He says they have been more aggressive this year and they expect an increase in visitor arrivals to the island. Last year the World Creole Music Festival was cancelled as Dominica grappled with the effects of TS Erika.
