Dominicans urged to take advantage of the benefits of alternate energy saving methods by using LED bulbs
With high energy costs a problem worldwide, Energy Management Services Ltd (EMS) representative Cedric Sookhoo is urging persons to go towards alternate energy saving methods.
Sookhoo made mention of the benefits of LED lightbulbs.
According to him, LED’s consume up to 40% less energy than customary light bulbs, and last up to 15 years. He went on to say that, standard bulbs tend to allow mercury to escape in gaseous form toward the end of their use, whereas LED’s are made of plastic and avoid the use of mercury, as it poses a danger to humans.
He says while the investment may be costly the endeavor is worthwhile.
