Dominica's Health Ministry on Friday received 50 foggers to deal with the continued threat of vector borne diseases in Dominica. The fogging machines were donated by the Government of the People's Republic of China and cost to the tune of US$150,000. Speaking at Friday's ceremony, Health Minister Dr. Kenneth Darroux, described the donation as timely. While giving the commitment of the Ministry of Health in maximising the use of these machines, Dr Darroux called on the general public to play their part in waste reduction and vector control. Meanwhile, Chinese Ambassador to Dominica, H.E Li Jiangning, says this donation speaks to the continued cooperation and friendship between the Governments and people of Dominica and China.
