Dominica’s Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit says it will take much more than legislative amendments to address the issue of sexual abuse of the country’s youth.
In recent weeks there have been increased reports of sexual abuse cases against minors.
Skerrit says while his government remains steadfast in its efforts towards effecting change in Dominica’s Sexual Offences Act, a lot more has to be done to address this issue.
The Prime Minister made these remarks on state owned radio Tuesday.
