17 constituencies were fully represented by both the SLP and the UWP in the St. Lucia election campaign. The UWP won by 11 seats out of the seventeen. In his concession message, the outgoing St Lucia Prime Minister said he does not intend to serve as the leader of the opposition, or as political leader of the SLP.
