Education Minister, Petter St. Jean, in saluting the nine schools topping the Grade Six National Assessment, says this highlights the importance of sound management and leadership at learning institutions.
He says his ministry recognizes the value of staffing schools with highly qualified and motivated educators.
As such, he says the Ministry of Education is continuing to provide teachers and principals with the necessary training.
Twenty-five senior educators are currently benefitting from a masters degree program in Educational Leadership at UWI, sponsored by the Government of Dominica.
