The Environmental Health Department has embarked on a series of activities geared at eliminating mosquito breeding sites here.
This, as the number of cases of the dreaded Zika Virus continues to increase. Senior Environmental Health Officer, Sylvester St. Ville, says this comprehensive approach involves a series of meetings across the island. On Tuesday, vector control operators and Environmental Health Officers will hit the streets of Roseau to visit all houses within the city and speaking with residents and business owners as to the necessary action to eliminate mosquito breeding sites.
